In each group
What each group does outdoors

Toddlers and twos
Short outings out the gate and along the path, with a lot of carrying, digging and splashing. After lunch the group rests indoors, each child on their own cot, and then goes out again.
18 months to 3 years
Breanne leads the group
Boots, a hat and a spare set of clothes

Threes
Longer walks, the raised garden beds and the mud kitchen. The group carries its own water and snack bag, and children help with the watering can and the wheelbarrow.
3 to 4 years
Full day, mornings or three full days
A rain suit for the mud kitchen

Fours
Projects that stretch over days: a fort, a bed of beans, a trail through the trees. The group decides together where it is going and what it needs to bring.
4 to 5 years
